How do you see answers on Kahoot? ›

Click the gearwheel icon in the bottom right corner of the screen. Enable the Show questions & answers option.

Single-select questions offer up to 1000 points when a player responds correctly. Multi-select questions offer up to 500 points per correct answer.

How to use Kahoot effectively? ›

Students make a quiz and quiz each other.

Once they have completed their questions, instruct them to make a kahoot review with the questions. You can have the students test their kahoots on each other. Many students study very hard as they create their Kahoot questions in order to make the most challenging questions.

Check for Understanding - Kahoot could also be a great way to break up the middle of the class to check for understanding. You could easily throw together a 3-5 question Kahoot and have students answer the questions after they were presented with some new information. It's simply a fun formative assessment.

You can toggle if players can select one or more than one answer. Adding more than 4 answer choices (up to 6) is available with certain plans.

When creating, Kahoot gives us the option for having more than one correct answer, however, the students only have the option of selecting one choice before it moves them to the next question. Our EOG/EOC tests ask students to select more than one choice to correctly answer a question.

Kahoot, Quicker allows you to play Kahoot quicker by binding the Q, W, E, R keys on the keyboard to Red, Blue, Yellow, and Green. This is much faster than having to click the squares individually.

After a live kahoot has been hosted or an assignment ended, you can access “Reports” in the top navigation bar under Library to view performance details. Just tap a report card to view a specific report and then tap on “view all” to view a full leaderboard. Click “Accuracy” to view question analysis.

Both questions and answers are displayed on their mobile devices inside the Kahoot! app. Players don't need an account in order to play a kahoot, so they can remain anonymous in the game by using nicknames. Some teachers hosting games encourage students to use their real names, but this is also up to you!

Under "Game Options," make sure that "randomize order of questions" and "randomize order of answers" are both toggled on (do not randomize order of questions for “Tick Habitat Identification Walk”. Feel free to modify any other settings in "Game Options" as desired.

Once you've started playing, tap the read aloud icon in the top right corner of the screen. The app will first read aloud the question and then switch to the screen with answer alternatives and read them aloud. Answer alternatives will be visually highlighted as they're being read out.
